At Hampton Roads Academy we believe the use of technology is an essential component of learning in the 21st century.  The technology curriculum provides comprehensive instruction that explores new technologies and creates engaging ways for students to acquire knowledge in and out of the classroom. As a 1:1 iPad school, every student has access to a device during the school day. We feel strongly that technology is not a replacement for effective teaching, but a tool for students to utilize in the learning process. We strive to promote a collaborative community that fosters curiosity and creativity, while developing critical thinking and analytical skills.  Our goal is to prepare students to live and learn as digital citizens in a changing global society.
